Code L is a new opera, conceived by Slovenian authors who have been successfully creating in the international arena, in many different fields of art. The project was inspired by the book A Lover's Discourse: Fragments by French philosopher Roland Barthes Fidelio (originally titled Leonore, oder Der Triumph der ehelichen Liebe; English: Leonore, or The Triumph of Marital Love), Op. 72, is Ludwig van Beethoven's only opera.

The story revolves around a refined and rather common understanding of universal love as traced in the mythological structure of the folk song about the Tenth Daughter. The performance is directed by the Artistic Director of the Ljubljana Opera Rocc, who mainly dedicates himself to directing of contemporary opera pieces.
