Opera

Salome01

O produkciji

The opera is famous (at the time of its premiere, infamous) for its “Dance of the Seven Veils”. The final scene is frequently heard as a concert-piece for dramatic sopranos. The story revolves around a refined and rather common understanding of universal love as traced in the mythological structure of the folk song about the Tenth Daughter. The performance is directed by the Artistic Director of the Ljubljana Opera Rocc, who mainly dedicates himself to directing of contemporary opera pieces.
